Elizabeth Ackley
M.D. FACOG
Dr. Ackley received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where she majored in mathematics and minored in French language. She was the captain of Georgetown’s Bioethics Debate Team and received their Ethics Award for her work leading the team to several national championships. She graduated with distinction from New York University School of Medicine, where she served as the Director for the New York City Women’s Health Free Clinic. She completed her residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, where she was elected Chief Resident and researched the effects of Pitocin in labor. Her husband, Dr. William Ackley, is a nephrologist at Yale. She currently lives in New Haven with her husband and daughter.
